Loss of Friends and Members

Bruce A. Smith, 76, of Brick, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 30, 2025,
surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Neptune, Bruce was a lifelong area resident. He dedicated many years to his career
as a trainman/conductor at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck before retiring.

Bruce found joy in fishing, fishing, and fishing. :) He will be fondly remembered for his vast
knowledge of military history, his passion for organic gardening, and the restaurant-quality,
five-star meals he lovingly prepared for family and friends.

He was referred to as the "Ambassador" because of his extensive interest and knowledge of political history.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Agnes (Cathie) Smith. Bruce is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Jennie (Bowman) Smith, and his beloved children, Patrice Hart, Tacy Papa, and brothers, Randall Smith, and Andrew Smith.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bruce’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
